CONWAY, Ark. _ University of Central Arkansas senior linebacker Rojae Jackson earned his first Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday following a 10-tackle performance at Ole Miss on Saturday night.
Jackson, from Vachere, La., had 2 tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks, in UCA’s first game against a Southeastern Conference opponent. Jackson, who led all tacklers in the game, had to leave the game in the second half with a shoulder injury.
UCA (0-1) continues its road swing at Murray State at 6 p.m. Saturday.
