SUGAR BEARS RALLY TO TAKE FOURTH AND FIFTH SETS, MOVE TO 15-1

Alicia Dittrich hit .500 and had 15 kills in Thursday's win over Northwestern St.
Natchitoches, La. – The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears overcame a 2-1 deficit on Thursday night, winning the fourth set 25-23 and the fifth set 15-8 to move to 15-1 on the season and 4-1 in Southland Conference play.

Central Arkansas hit only .156 on the night, led by Alicia Dittrich, who hit .500 on her way to 15 kills. A total of five Sugar Bears tallied double-digit kills on the night, led by Taylor Hammonds who had 16. Dittrich, Jessica Hays, and Heather Schnars each totaled 15 kills, and Jessica Nagy had 10. Dittrich added five blocks, three assists and five assists. Marissa Collins paced the Sugar Bear offense with 59 assists while chipping in with 26 digs, two service aces, and two blocks. Shelbee Berringer added 31 digs and an ace.

The Lady Demons (11-6, 3-2 SLC) hit .096 on the night, led by Glynna Johnson, who hit .227 on her way to eight kills. Mackenzie Neely led Northwestern State with 13 kills. Emily Sweet had 40 assists, 13 digs, and seven blocks, while Keelie Arneson chipped in with 29 digs.

Central Arkansas returns to the court Saturday afternoon at 1:00, battling Southland foe Stephen F. Austin.
