NORMAL, Ala. — Adriana Lucar, Cristin Curl and Brooke Ballard all netted goals for Central Arkansas on Sunday, and the Bears kept Alabama A&M from getting any of their own as UCA rolled to a 3-0 victory to move to 5-1 on the season.
Lucar, who had three goals in Friday's win at Mississippi Valley State, scored her fourth of the weekend and eighth of the season to give her the highest goal total in a season for a UCA player in the school's Division I era, just six games in.
Curl added her fourth of the year, tying her for second on the team, and Ballard contributed her first.
The three goals gives UCA 23 for the season, eclipsing their total of 22 from all of last season.
Maddi Poteet had a pair of assists in Sunday's victory, while Cassie Lange added another. Goalkeepers Kelsey Gochnauer and Lyndzey Goff each recorded a save in the combined shutout of the Bulldogs.
UCA returns home for a Wednesday contest with Arkansas-Little Rock at 4 p.m.
