LIVE STATS
The Bears enter the weekend 0-1-1 in Southland play after battling Northwestern State to a scoreless tie and dropping a 2-1 decision at Sam Houston State to begin the conference season.
SFA is one of two teams, along with Sam Houston, undefeated in league play at 2-0 with consecutive 5-0 wins over Southeastern Louisiana and Oral Roberts. The Ladyjacks are 9-3 overall, with nine shutouts to their credit. Their losses have been to Texas Tech (1-0), LSU (2-1) and No. 25 Baylor (4-0), and have a league-best RPI of 78. They feature the two-time Southland Conference Player of the Year in senior Kylie Louw, who had five goals and eight assists thus far this season. McNeese is 6-5-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play following a 1-0 win over Lamar and a 3-2 loss against Southeastern Louisiana last weekend.
The Bears have struggled against both teams, going a combined 2-10-1 all-time. After beating both teams in 2006, the Bears have yet to come up with a positive result against either – having lost five straight to SFA and tallying four losses and a tie against McNeese.
