NATCHITOCHES, La. - The University of Central Arkansas volleyball team will put their 27-match Southland Conference winning streak on the line when they travel to Northwestern State on Thursday night. UCA will also play at UT Arlington on Saturday afternoon. The Sugar Bears just wrapped up a nine-match homestand in which they won every match and only dropped four sets.

UCA was ranked 62nd in the first NCAA RPI poll of the season. The ranking is the best in program history for the Sugar Bears.

Junior libero Cristin Curl of Amarillo, Texas, needs just three digs to become the 16th Sugar Bear to reach the 1,000-dig plateau for her career. Junior outside Jessica Hays ranks fifth in the nation in service aces, and as a team UCA is tied for fourth in aces.
