Prior to UCA:
Was a member of the Cabot cheer team for 2 years, and track team for 4 years was All Conference/ All State for high jump and mile relay... Also participated in Volleyball for 6 years... Earned All Conference and Max Prep Arkansas player of the week titles... Atkinson served as a captain for the lady panthers and was nominated as Cabot High School Heisman scholarship representative. Was selected to play in the Arkansas Volleyball All-Star games and earned the proud panther award for her achievements.... During her high school career Katie played as a DS/OH... Also played for 501 Volley national team for 4 years ... All Conference and All State in High job and Mile Relay
