Lettermen's Club Bylaws

ARTICLE I - ORGANIZATION AND PURPOSE

Section 1. This organization shall be known as the University of Central Arkansas Letterman's Club (UCALC).

Section 2. The purpose of the UCALC shall be to promote and support the University of Central Arkansas; and to encourage the continued involvement and participation of UCALC members in all University of Central Arkansas alumni activities.

ARTICLE II - UCA-CLUB OFFICERS & EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Section 1. The Board of Directors shall be no less than nine (9) members and no more than twenty (20) members.

Section 2. The general officers of the UCALC shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. The elected offices of President and Vice-President will be elected for a term of two (2) years. The Vice-President shall succeed the President at the end of his/her second year. The Secretary and Treasurer positions will be Athletic Department staff members.

There shall be an Executive Committee of the UCALC, which shall consist of the President, and five (5) UCALC members who shall be appointed by the president plus an ex officio member who will be an Athletic Department staff member. The Executive Committee, to be presided over by the president, shall have and may exercise during the interval between meetings of the UCALC, all powers vested in the UCA Letterman's Club. The Executive Committee may make rules for conduct of business. A majority of the voting members of the committee shall constitute a quorum.

Section 3. The nominating committee shall be composed of the president, vice president and members of the executive committee.

Section 4. The term of office shall begin in January 1st and conclude in December 31st.

ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. There shall be two classes for membership; namely, Active Member and Associate Member.

Section 2. Active Members shall be current dues paying members and only these active members are entitled to the benefits afforded by the Club.

Section 3. Associate dues paying members are individuals recognized for exceptional service rendered to the cause of athletics at the University of Central Arkansas. These memberships may be awarded by the majority vote of the members of the Board assembled at any regular meeting.

ARTICLE IV - FINANCIAL

Section 1. The dues for membership shall be payable by January 31st. The amount of the annual dues shall be determined at the annual meeting in the fall for the following calendar year.

Section 2. All UCALC funds shall be deposited with UCA Foundation/UCALC and administered in accordance with all NCAA regulations. The Secretary/Treasurer shall oversee the accounting for all funds.
