STILLWATER, Okla. – Central Arkansas cross country competed at the Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday, with the women's and men's teams both finishing 11th out of 20 teams competing against some of the best programs in the nation. 

The women's 6K race was pushed back to 9:30 a.m. due to a lightning delay. Lydia Butler led the Bears, finishing 83rd with a time of 22:50.5. Abby Machesky followed in 88th at 22:58.1, while Avery Boydston finished 90th at 23:00.7. 

Liz Browning placed 94th with a time of 23:09.0, followed by Kamryn Baggs in 101st at 23:14.1. Alivia Spangler finished 117th at 23:49.9, while Kate Barber placed 127th at 24:08.8. Kayli Myers finished 128th at 24:13.0, Emily Graf placed 132nd at 24:30.2 and Miah McAulay finished 148th at 25:26.5. 

The women finished with 338 points to place 11th. 

The men's 8K race was also delayed due to lightning, with the race beginning at 10:05 a.m. Hunter Stahl paced the Bears, finishing 60th with a time of 25:23.1. Garrett Barr followed in 69th at 25:32.6. 

Trae Baker finished 102nd with a time of 26:08.9, followed by Logan Dingman in 108th at 26:15.0. Brody Maasen placed 117th at 26:21.9, while Will Doyle finished 131st at 26:42.5 and Wyatt McCulley placed 139th at 26:55.0. 

The men finished with 329 points and also placed 11th. 

Central Arkansas will return to action Oct. 16 at the Crimson Classic at the University of Alabama.
