VALDOSTA, Ga. – Day two of the ASUN Championships saw the Central Arkansas men's golf team maintain its first-place status. Heading into Thursday's final round, the Bears have a four-stroke lead, thanks to three players in the top-five.
Noah Blaickner stayed in first place as well, playing his way to a 1-under 71 on Tuesday. He added three birdies on the day, bringing his two-round total to nine. He sits nine under par heading in to Wednesday's final round.
Jack Wilson had himself a day, moving from seventh to second after a 4-under 68. He had four birdies and an eagle on Tuesday, and is seven strokes under par after two rounds.
Vukasin Suturovic also had a great day, sinking five birdies to move into fifth place. He now sits at 6-under on the tournament, and with just two bogeys, has the third-fewest among the 61 golfers.
Bogdan Sandrini slipped just a little bit, but still holds a top-20 spot after a 73. He added four birdies to his total on Tuesday, including three on the back nine.
Kalle Svederman tallied three birdies of his own in the second round, playing his way to a 75.
The Bears lead Stetson by four strokes heading into the final round, and FGCU is in third place, three strokes behind the Hatters. Blaickner holds a two-stroke lead after 36 holes, and Wilson finds himself in a three-way tie for second place. Suturovic, in fifth, is one stroke behind Wilson and three strokes off the lead.
