ATLANTA, Ga. – The ASUN has announced its selections for golfers of the week, and freshman Luke Sienkiewicz has been named the ASUN's men's golfer of the week after a stellar finish at the Missouri State Intercollegiate this week.
 
It marks the first weekly award for the Bears as members of the ASUN, and Sienkiewicz was truly deserving of this one. Finishing fifth in Springfield, Mo., this week, the Germantown, Tenn., native solidified the best finish by a Bear this season after turning in two rounds under par.
 
A par 71, the freshman battled his way to three birdies in round two to finish 1-under, then turned in five birdies in the third set to cap a season-best 2-under 69. Sienkiewicz was one of seven golfers to finish the Missouri State Intercollegiate at or under par, the Bear finishing with an even 213.
 
Sienkiewicz and the men's golf team look to take this momentum into next week's event, playing in the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate in Pawley's Island, S.C. next week.
