DELAND, Fla. – The University of Central Arkansas tennis program had a tough time trying to regain momentum on Sunday after two straight losses and fell a third straight time, this time to Stetson. After winning their first ASUN game against North Alabama in near dominant fashion, the Bears have fallen to 1-3 in the ASUN and 7-8 overall.
While it has been a bit of a rough go for the Bears, it seems their effort is not showing in the results right now. Luckily for the Bears, they can enjoy a week off for spring break before a trip up to Kentucky.
Vichitraporn Vimuktananda continues to shine in her freshman campaign, gritting through a third set victory. Vimuktananda now improves her record to 3-1 in ASUN play and 7-4 overall. Unfortunately, there can be two sides of a three set coin, and Sumomo Hamanaga found herself on the other side. She was narrowly defeated, bringing her record in ASUN play to 0-3.
