DELAND, Fla. - Doubles' play proved to be crucial in this heated ASUN matchup, as the Hatters bested the Bears 4-3 after claiming that initial doubles point. 

UCA fell behind early, and that was the difference-maker as Stetson took four of the first five points (Gledic won 6-3, 6-1) and hosted the clinching point early. However, while the Hatters secured the match, the Bears took it upon themselves to secure some individual successes with two successful rallies from the No. 1 and No. 2 spot. The first rally came from junior Fuka Nonoyama as she continued her undefeated streak (6-0) after dropping the initial set 6-4. She quickly returned strong as she won the next two sets, 6-3 and 6-4. The second rally in the dual came from Xin as she returned to her winning ways after falling behind 6-4. She then won the next set 6-4 and finished the tiebreaker with an 11-9 victory.
