COLUMBIA, Mo. - UCA hit their stride in pairs but fell short in the solo efforts as they dropped both legs of the doubleheader in Columbia, Mo. 

It was a solid effort in the first half as the Bears claimed an undefeated doubles streak against SEMO and Mizzou (5-0). However, it was ill-timed as UCA could not muster the same effect in the singles portion as the Redhawks bested them 4-3, and the Tigers took theirs 4-2. 

Overall, there were ups and downs for the Bears, but some highlights include the three singles match victories on the day. Starting against SEMO, UCA claimed two with sophomore Fuka Nonoyama taking down the Redhawks No. 2 and the reigning ASUN Player of the Week sophomore Maja Gledic taking down the No. 5. On the second half of the spectrum, the Bears had one winner as freshman Sumomo Hamanaga claimed her match against the Tigers No. 4 in dominant fashion 6-1, 6-2.
