Senior athletic training student Chris Coover has been awarded a summer Internship with the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. Coover, a native of Rogers, is one of just five candidates selected for this opportunity by the Titans – making him the first student in the history of the UCA athletic training program to receive an internship with an NFL franchise. He will report in the middle July and his internship will be completed September 1.

Coover is currently on the Executive Board and serves as the President of the Arkansas Athletic Training Student Association Executive board, and is Parliamentarian for the Central Arkansas Athletic Training Student association.  

Receiving the Titans internship has also resulted in Coover receiving the UCA CLAWS (Celebrating the Lofty Achievements of our Wonderful Students) award. University President Houston Davis will present the award to Coover at the Board of Trustees meeting in February.
