Beau Theriot

Alma Mater:  BS - University of Central Arkansas ‘05
MS - University of Central Arkansas  ’07
Experience: 9 years (9th Season at UCA)

History: Theriot has been affiliated with the University of Central Arkansas since 2001 where he was a key member of starting up the UCA Running Club during the university’s stint of no organized NAIA or NCAA sports teams.  Following in 2003 the start of UCA Cross Country NCAA Division II team. In 2005 he started coaching the women's distance team and in 2006 made the move to NCAA Division I, adding men's and women's track teams. In 2007 Theriot took over the men’s distance program.
In 2012 he started his new role as associate head coach of the UCA XCTF programs.  After Theriot’s college athletic career he went on to be a talented multi-sport athlete, including three ironman finishes, Arkansas state cycling champion in the MTB, Time Trial, and Road Race in CAT 3, 4, and 5. He also spent some time riding for the Jr. pro team Accelerade. He is a USAT All American and USCF All American.

Philosophy: Coaching the individual not the masses. I do not believe in cookie cutter programs. I want to develop a program based on what will work best for the individual and give the biggest growth potential. I want to mold individuals to be better on the track as well as off.
