CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Cross Country team is headed to the ASUN Championships this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 30^th in Orlando, Fla. The meet will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The women will race at 8:15 a.m. and the men will race at 7:40 a.m. This is the first time the Bears will compete in the ASUN Conference Championships.
 
For the women's team Anna Bommes, Bekah Bostian, Anna Jeffcoat, Ali Nachtigal, Felisa Saheib, Marie Møller Schmidt, Emma Selph, Sara Steimel, and Kennedy Timmerman will be running.

For the men's team Julian Haessner, Alex Hanson, Fionn Harrington, Hunter Henderson, Parker Jackson, William Ryan-Johnson, Christian Tamura, Jared Touart, and Tate Whaley will be running.
 
The Bears will be facing ASUN Conference schools including Bellarmine (Louisville), Eastern Kentucky (Richmond), FGCU (Fort Myers), Jacksonville (Fla.), Jacksonville State (Jacksonville, Ala.), Kennesaw State (Ga.), Liberty (Lynchburg, Va.), Lipscomb (Nashville), North Alabama (Florence), North Florida (Jacksonville, Fla.), and Stetson (DeLand, Fla.).

"It's our first championships in the new Conference so I'm excited to showcase our athletes and talents. We have had a good season leading up to the championships and we have posted some good times. I believe both teams will be great and have outstanding results."
