TALLAHASSEE, Fla. _ University of Central Arkansas golfers Fernanda Lira and Emma Svensson are tied for 48th place on Tuesday after two rounds of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional being played at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course.

    Svensson, a junior from Halmstad, Sweden, shot 76-73_149 and moved up 13 places from Round 1. Lira, a senior from Mexico City, Mexico, shot 77-72_149 and jumped 25 spots from Monday. Svensson carded four birdies and five bogeys for her 1-over 73 on Tuesday. Lira three birdies and three bogeys for her even-par 72.

    The field of 96 golfers, with six playing as individuals including Lira and Svensson, will conclude the regional Wednesday morning. From the four regionals, the top six teams and top three individuals not on those teams _ a total of 132 golfers _ will advance to the national championships on May 18-23 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.
