MEMPHIS, Tenn. _ The University of Central Arkansas women's track and field team set two schools records over the weekend at the Rhodes College Invitational. The men's and women's squads combined to win six events and record 35 Top 5 places at the meet.
Junior Logan Morton set the school record in the triple jump (39-10.50) and won the event on Friday, while senior Samantha Gibson broke the old mark in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.78 to take first in that event on Saturday.
Other winners for UCA's men were junior Eric Moore in the high jump (6-09.50), senior James Lassiter in the 110-meter hurdles (14.38) and freshman Zachary Jewell in the long jump (23-04.50).
For the women, sophomore Victoria Campfield, sophomore Aliyah Robinson, junior Samantha Ellis and junior Jasmine Richard won the 4x400 relay in a time of 3:56.65.
