LAWRENCE, Kan. _ The University of Central Arkansas women's track team turned in 12 Top 10 performances, including two school records, at the Kansas Relays over the weekend. UCA's men's squad had 11 Top 10 places, including two wins and a third-place finish.
Senior Aysia Oliver broke the school record in the triple jump with a leap of 39-05, breaking the old mark by more than three inches. UCA's 4x800 relay team of Alejanda Ruiz, Abbie Linna, Victoria Campfield and Samantha Gibson broke the school record in a time of 9:33.08.
Senior Alex Dorch jumped 17-10.75 to finish fifth in the long jump. Freshman Taylor Dunn finished sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 11:40.46, the seventh best in school history.
For the men, junior Grant Williams won the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 9:15.34, the third-best time in school history. Senior Jahleel Lilly won the triple jump with a leap of 50-0.
Sophomore Eric Moore finished third in the high jump at 6-10.75, while senior Albert Maeder finished fifth in the 5,000 meters in a time of 14:48.67, the second-best time in school history. Sophomore Brant Cook was fifth in the 1,500 meters in 3:56.88, a Top 10 mark at UCA. UCA's distance medley relay team of Woodrow Murray, James Lassiter, Brock Collins and Julien Jeandree finished fourth in 10:19.01.
