Conway, Ark. –
The All-Tournament Team for the Central Arkansas Invitational has been released, and it features three Bears: midfielder Taylor Hart and defenders Zac Burns and Mickey Segura.
Hart came off the bench in both games, providing a huge spark for the offense with numerous runs down the field. He took four shots in the Bears’ two games, placing two of them on goal, and turned multiple other runs into solid looks for teammates.
Burns played 166 minutes during the tournament, second on the team only to Matt Taphorn. He used that time to lead a Central Arkansas defense that allowed only one goal and saw the Bears collect a shutout against Oral Roberts on Monday afternoon.
Segura, who was named Offensive MVP of the tournament, took four shots, placing two on goal. Against the Golden Eagles on Monday, he gave the Bears their first goal in two matches when he collected a long forward pass from Alex Ghiffari and rifled it past the keeper for his first goal of the season.
Central Arkansas was one of two teams to have three players named to the All-Tournament Team, along with Missouri State, who saw midfielder Jack Roberts and defender Andrew Turner named to the team, along with defender James Fawke, who was named Defensive MVP of the tournament. They were joined by Lipscomb’s Ethan Summers and Omar Djabi, and Oral Roberts’ Tyler Hill and Trevor Laffoon.
