SOUTHLAND NETWORK TO BROADCAST THREE GAMES

FRISCO, Texas - The University of Central Arkansas will have three football games televised by the Southland Network during the 2011 season, the Southland Conference announced Wednesday. Along with the Sept. 24 game at Arkansas State to be televised state-wide on KATV, the Bears will have four of their 11 games on television.

The new GeoSurfaces turf at Estes Stadium will make its television debut on Oct. 15 when the Bears host McNeese State for the annual Red Beans and Rice Bowl. The following week, the Southland Network will broadcast UCA's game against Lamar in Beaumont, Texas on Oct. 22. The Bears' contest against Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La. on Nov. 5 will also be on air. All three games will have 3 p.m. kickoffs.

Under 12th-year head coach Clint Conque, the Bears are 11-4 in televised games.
